As well as creating hatred towards my mother, it created a sense of loyalty towards my adoptive parents, and the feeling that I needed to behave, and be good in order to not repeat the same mistakes and be rejected again. These are dangerous beliefs to hold. Not only are they untrue, but they are emotionally and spiritually very damaging." - Stephen Fitzpatrick Strengthening Families

Link Exchange? If you have an adoption-related website would like to exchange links please contact me. Your website must utilize honest (not biased) language. People who adopt are a substitute for a child's mother and father NOT the mother and father. A natural mother and father are not "birth parents" (aka "birth things"). Using honest language is important in preventing additional unnecessary separation of family. Using honest language will also help to reform the systems that are in place which cruelly deny human beings the knowledge of who they really are. In the United States, not only adopted persons but other persons that have been "artificially orphaned" through "donor" insemination, egg "donor", embryo adoption are all being denied the most basic knowledge about themselves. This should be illegal.
